Documentário conta histórias de crianças que convivem com avós com Alzheimer

O documentário "What’s Happening to Grandpa? foi dirigido e produzido por Eamon Harrington e John Watkin. O filme faz parte do projeto "The Alzheimer" da HBO, um canal de televisão por assinatura norte-americano Você vai conhecer a história de crianças com idades entre 6 e 15 anos, que estão lidando com avôs ou avós sofrem da doença de Alzheimer.


The film is based on the book by Mary Shriver. Mary's own father, Sargent Shriver, suffers from the disease. "Compare your previous vitality to your current condition is difficult, but this is offset by good memories and a 'gift' unexpected: links between generations that could not be done otherwise," she says. The lesson of the film is about the importance of "going with the flow", offering a variety of perspectives on how children can cope with the loss of memory through kindness, patience and compassion with grandparents.
